MANORISMS

Our Manorisms give you a chance to ‘sit down’ with the people who call Manor Court home.

In this Manorism, we meet Anne Robinson who shared her wisdom on life, love, and family.

What are the most important lessons you've learned in life?

To always be kind, treat people the way you want to be treated. My mum always told me ‘it doesn’t matter who knocks on your door, you always treat them with respect.’

What advice would you pass on?

Respect people, always be happy, smile, and never judge. Always be a helping hand to people.

What do you remember about your parents and grandparents?

I didn’t get a chance to meet my grandparents, they passed away when I was a baby. I remember everything still about my mum. She was beautiful, loving, caring, and always there for me and our whole family.

What about the place you grew up?

I absolutely loved it and would love to go back to my hometown in Ireland, the most beautiful place in the world.

If you could go back to any age, what would it be and why?

I would love to go back to be 22 again, it was the age I married the love of my life, Harold Robinson. The best Harold in the world.

What are you biggest achievements in life?

The day my children were born into the world and getting married to the love of my life.

What is the one thing you love about Manor Court?

Having my wonderful friends around me and most importantly, the staff at Manor Court are amazing and go beyond for me and everyone else. They truly do look after me at Manor Court.

What is the most ridiculous thing you have ever done?

Well, you might think this is silly, but I had to keep a secret.

What does it take to be happy?

To have peace of mind, always work as a team. Well really, it doesn’t take me a lot to be happy!
