Message from the Board
In the late 1970s, Werribee and the surrounding area was on the cusp of a population boom that would see it grow to the vibrant city we have today. A community spirit and sense of altruism that existed almost four decades ago remains strong even today and is evidenced through the many and varied charitable and fundraising events organised by the local community.
When the Rotary Club of Werribee recognised the need to provide affordable care for the elderly residents of the area in 1974, it was the start of a project that brought together a group of dedicated individuals.
The founding committee of management, originally known as the Elderly People’s Homes Society, was made up of Rotary Club and community members with the sole purpose of creating a facility where some of our most vulnerable people could find a safe caring environment in which to spend their final years.
To the many residents of Manor Court, those with us now and those who live on in our memory, thank you for choosing us as your aged care provider.
